Remotely Triggering a DSLR
May 8, 2013

Hello

I work for a ski resort and we have come up with an idea similar to a rollercoaster on ride photo system. Because we would love to showcase the beauty of the surroundings we want to use a dslr camera. The Camera will be mounted shooting at the guests as they pass by on the chair. The main issue were left with is the timing of the shots. Our idea is to have a switch on one of the towers that is tripped when a chair passes it which triggers the camera remotely. The problem being the tower where the switch is located is about 20' from the actual camera. Anyone know about a remote switch system that will set the camera to shoot the the switch is triggered? or if anyone has any suggestions on and easier way to acheive this without actually having a human photographer?

Thanks
