I had a photo instructor once assign 3 weeks of homework (out of a 12-week class) to use a different lens (and only that lens) each week.  Since it was a college class, the students weren't ducking off to Alaska or the Galapagos for the assignments.  It forced us to see our community with "different" eyes each week for 3 weeks.  I still do this when I'm stuck on a favorite location - if I know I always hike that trail with my 70-400 lens and it's getting old, I'll tack on my 16-80 and make the hike.  Perhaps this could help your vision ...
