Lol so you are saying my HS50 can resolve better than your X-S1 despite the 100% difference in sensor size? Fuji should be wise enough to make X-S1 16MP and the HS cam 12MP.

Though the XS-1 here is a bit of a disaster, the occasional decent test shots (especially two which happened to be of the same subject, one at EXR and one at L size) have been enough to indicate for sure that Paul is correct. The "L" only came close to the EXR quality when the former was viewed at half size....  but colour and detail were still noticeably superior on the EXR shot.

Post your comparisons please. The only advantage I can think of using EXR is better DR, nothing more nothing less. The only time I will use EXR is if I am lazy and don't want to PP and don't need hi-res for my snap shots.
