Last year I purchased:

  • Photoshop CS6. Never had any before, I´m so glad I now have a perpetual latest and greatest!
  • PS Elements 11. No confidence in sufficiant skills to get the most out of CS6 at that time. It´s somehow very slow compared to CS6, throttled on purpose? A pitty though it doesn´t do 16 bits TIFF, so that´s that.
  • Lightroom 4, because I lost confidence in Apple ever bringing RAW support for Fujifilm´s X-Trans sensor, just like it bypassed the Foveon. However, after waiting 13 months, it is now finally there and giving my Sigma DP2x to a friend, that problem was solved too. I thought I would never jump back, but I did, it´s so much better IMO.

No subscription fees to Adobe from me. I think that´s OK with them, suppose they don´t want people like me, pure hobbyists / amateurs.
