Drop $350 on a 45mm prime when you've already got the 14-42mm kit lens?

But then I go out at night w that lens, and f 1.8 really helps w hand held low light shots.

Actually, one of the reasons I went to m43 to replace my stolen 4/3 kit was to get the small fast primes not available in the older system.

But your needs might not be so extreme.  If you just got the camera recently, why not get used to it first.
