X100s, NEX-6 + 20mm f/2.8 or X20

I'm undecided about my next camera purchase.
Originally I wanted to get the X20 as a "smallish" travel camera for mostly street, some landscape and some portrait-style photography.
However as I'm a big fan of shallow dof - using it for subject/background isolation - most of what I have seen from the X20 in this regard has not really triggered my interest. Sure in MACRO mode with small objects it's excellent - but then most cameras are.
I then tried the X100s and was *almost* sold on it.
it has just about everything I want for a camera, and I've long been a fan of the 35mm fov equivalent lens... the VIEWFINDER is imho absolutely excellent and besides the good ergonomics the major strong point of the camera.
However, I'm not 100% sure if I can go on with just one, fixed lens.
From what I have done over the past 20 years I know that the 35mm is what I have used most... so I guess I could get most of my shooting done on the road.
Then I stumbled across the Nex-6... and the 20mm f/2.8 pancake from sony. (giving me the equivalent of a 30mm fov on a APS-C). Not as bright as the lens on the X100s - probably not as good I guess... but close?
I haven't been able to find any proper samples though.
That would give me the ability to basically take the Nex-6 + 20mm and maybe the 50mm f/1.8 for more classic portraits along. still a compact enough setup.
However whilst I find sony's OLED viewfinder quite good, it doesn't match the experience of the X100s' Hybrid VF. neither do the ergonomics & handling hold up or the build quality (imho, though it's not "bad" either)....
Again, the emphasize is on a "smallish" portable camera, with good control over DOF, good IQ, portable.
Has anyone made a similar decision?
Why choose one over the other?
