In fact just I came across these documents about RIMM & ERIMM as (unrendered scenes) companion color encoding specifications to ROMM RGB, that finally lead me to a 2008 Foveon patent (filed in 2002) :

Kodak ROMM/RIMM/ERIMM March 2000

Foveon patent referring to unrendered scenes color spaces

Meanwhile I have not seen designations like RIMM12 RGB, RIMM16 RGB, ERIMM RGB, ROMM8 RGB or ROMM16 RGB in any of the metadata produced by SPP 5.1-generated ProPhoto *.tif files.

Also that lead me to this thread :

Don Margulis applied color theory - ProPhoto RGB

I am not clear whether this falls under the Adobe subset or the JEITA Exif standard, yet I would feel better if Roland and xpatUSA, amongst others would be consulted by ISO before their 90.93 approval of 12234-2:2001 , so I feel like spending 162 Swiss Francs on it.
