I realize this was merely a fun test, but given the difference in sensor size alone, the aperture of the Leica should have been about f/5.3, and if you add in the longer equivalent lens I'd say f/6.3 would be a better approximation of the f/2.8 on the DP2M. You are absolutely right, but then the shutter speed would be very slow for the S2, and believe me it is very difficult to get sharp images with it with low speeds... Also, it was windy and then I would have (more) movement from the flower.

Not if you bumped the ISO of the S2 to 560 or so (the sensor surface of the S2 is 3.5 times larger after all) to keep everything equivalent. But sure, I nitpick...

I thought keeping the iso the same was going to be fair, are you saying that using the same iso was giving an advantage to S2?
