[Sk8trguy] MF lens is a none-argument; canon/nikon dSLR can use them too

That is only true when you compare to canon's aging 18mp sensor.  But you seem to forget that I can get Sony sensor in Nikon D5100/D3100/D7000 or Pentax k5 without compromising in AF.  Where as NEX give me superior sensor, but with horrible AF.

you also fail to mention that the nex lenses are cheaper and provide thinner dof!!!  a canon 50mm f/1.8 is about $99, but the fd version is only $35.  with the canon there is a 1.6x crop factor while the sony has a 1.5x.ccc

This is the dumbest non-argument I'd ever heard.  You seem to forget that DSLR can also use older MF lens too!  Nikon DSLR can even use old MF lens without an adapter.  So how does NEX win here?

  • [AF] Sony 50/1.8 is a whopping $300!
  • [AF] Canon 50/1.8 is only $99
  • [MF] sony + adapter = access to Canon FD lens
  • [MF] canon dslr + adapter = access to Canon FD lens
  • [MF] nikon dslr = access to older nikon lens without an adapter
