Feedback wanted on this photo. Is railing in background a distraction?

That makes my suggestion a moot point because in Photoshop you can remove unwanted details and do a lot of selective editing. I don't like version two - the crop - because it doesn't flatter the subject. It is too dark, has a color cast and it is too soft. The black and white version is nice but the child's eyes and cute freckles get lost and the vignette, in my opinion, is too strong. For me, the original image is the best one of the three and the railing does not detract that much. You captured a candid moment and an interesting expression and to let the moment pass because all things were not "perfect" would have been a shame. Enjoy the photo - it's a good one!
