Choosing first EOS DSLR
May 1, 2013

I'm very new to photography and thus want to upgrade my Canon SX 160 IS to an EOS DSLR. I like to shoot flowers, portraits, macro and also birds. I've gone through many reviews of 600D, 60D but in dilemma about the lense along with the body. S

ometimes i think to get the kit lense 18-55mm IS II and additionally 55-250mm IS II. OTOH I think a 50mm 1.8 will allow me for all the three except birds and thus the Canon 75-300 III USM or a Tamron/Sigma 70-300mm may help me for it. Being a non IS lense, my mind is diverted towards some other lenses, which are exceeding my budget a lot. Please help me to choose my stuff so that I can fulfill my requirements. I'm enclosing some sample photos of my choice using my Canon SX 160 IS. Regards to all experienced professionals.
