When you put the image for everyone to see, the expectation should include polarizing answers regarding critique of the capture. Taking offense to such extent is just inappropriate in my view.

This wasn't critique, it was a blatant attempt to discredit the photographer and the camera. Assigning "luck" to success in any walk of life is the easy (and unfair) alternative to giving credit where credit is due.

I truly believe that it was a a lucky shot of the subject (the bee), especially being not in focus and badly underexposed.

Some great pictures are not exposed perfectly, but that doesn't necessarily take away from the content. On my monitor it's fine anyway, albeit not calibrated.

There is nothing to write home about as far as showcasing DP2M ability for action shots.

By memory I don't believe he said that.

This type of photography is rather Achilles heel than the advantage and your picture prove the point.

How does it prove the point,? You just said it was a lucky shot, and by that we are to presume that you mean it is good enough to fall outside the range of the camera's strong suit. The shot is either lucky or indicative of what the camera does badly. But not both.

Now, when we all know that the shot was premeditated, it is easy to conclude that with limitations of DP2M for this type of scenes, the photographer's skills prove supreme.

Regards

Richard
