Gloss Differential and 3rd party inks
Apr 30, 2013

Hello everyone, I have been using 3rd party pigment inks from Precision Colors for my Canon 9500 MKII printer, I came across a video on YouTube where a Guy name Jose Rodriguez┬áis saying he uses 3rd party pigment (he would not name the brand) inks and he gets a lot of Gloss Differential or Bronzing, I have noticed this as well, but have not been to bothered by it till my Son noticed it when I made a photo of his car on Ilford Gallerie Smooth Gloss paper, question: is there a way to avoid this by using a less glossy paper? Has anyone noticed if this happens more often or more noticeable on 3rd party inks then on Canon Lucia Inks? He also said he dedicated an Epson Printer to use nothing but gloss on all ink carts but this seems to complicated to me to venture into, I have just started printing and calibrating my Eizo monitor I am not to advance on this. any help or opinions would be appreciated.
