Macro in the classroom?
Apr 29, 2013

Hi all, I have posted this thread in the Macro forum as well if that's okay.

Deryn

Any ideas or tips gratefully received.

I will have a small tripod and my Ricoh GX100 which is quite good in 'macro' mode. We shall photo fir cones, seashells, drawing pins, utensils from the kitchen e.t.c.. My question is, will I get the best results in macro using a low or high aperture? I know a low aperture will blear a background, but will sharpness suffer as a consequence?

I have been taking a couple of cameras into school and letting the guys get some experience taking basic photo's. Portraits for 'wanted' posters, CD covers, pop posters, e.t.c. But tomorrow I wanted to try some macro with them.
