Can anyone suggest a safe alternative to the Blackrapid?  I am thinking of getting the Sunsniper.

My D4 came with a lug built in to the top on either side. I attach a strap to it and I do not look like some tool who fell for some marketing ploy with a big camera bouncing on my backsides upside down,  and Nikon approves of it!

If you call BlackRapid (I did in 2011) and ask if it is safe to carry the camera this way they will not answer, but will tell you to check with Nikon (or whoever) and will only tell you how strong the BR strap is. Apparently it is not as strong as they would like you to believe. If you then check with your camera maker they will say NO to any option other than the strap lugs on the camera! Nikon is of course very forgiving of impact damage these days.

My suggestion, get a good strap from Op-Tech, Crumpler, or UpStrap and enjoy.
