dlsr owners know but do not seem to like the future
Apr 28, 2013

reading the various threads on this forum you quickly fnd that dslr owners know what the future holds and don't like.

we see threads about how mirrorless has take more than 20% of their market in 4 short years, but they spin them to claim mirrorless is going nowhere - again zero to over 20%.

we see every major camera maker scrambling to make their own or share a mirrorless system.

we see reports on the dpreview front page about how the most expensive phase detection auto focus - even using still targets and centerpoint only - is not nearly as accurate as contrast detection.

we see inexpensive mirrorless camera offerings so many more great features such as 10-60 fps shooting.

and we saw a mirrorless camera named as dpreviews camera of the year 2012.

every person i have ever talked to agrees that mirrors are going the way of the buggy whip -yes, they do still make them too.

do you know the future?  do you admit mirrors in cameras will eventually be few and far between?
