You are right that I learned something today from your thread. I thought lifting the shadows in the 5Dlll and the 1DX at low iso's would be about equal.

According to your samples the 1DX performs MUCH closer to Nikon D800 than the 5Dlll.

because DXO do not count the banding in their measurements, banding and noise from un even read out points  and poorly adjusted iso amplifier

Yes in this motive with the lower levels we se here the 1dx are much closer to d800, but here is another comparison, out and a very contrasty motive with half the street in sun and half in shadows.

1dx and d800 and bouth equally lifted in the shadows, here you can se pattern noise and higher noise in the shadows from 1dx
