Get the D7100
In reply to SMACRAE, Apr 27, 2013

Tech wise, D7100 is the most advanced APS-C DSLR on the market.

As a complete package within Nikon's universe, it's a no brainer.

Pentax is supposed to give us something up to date duing this year. You may wait, or you may spend time with D7100 and then trial the new Pentax.

I'd suggest you only THEN decide between the Nikon system and Pentax, based on your own evaluation of the new Pentax camera. Because if you get the K5 II now, and then replace it in 6 minths with a new Pentax, ... What's the point?

At least you have a hance to taste both systems without much persuasion from fanboys.
