How is the noise in the x20?

It is fine for a sensor of its size, but nothing like APS-C.  It is still a small sensor point and shoot.  A 2/3 sensor isn't that much larger than 1/1.7".  Many of the premium early point and shoots actually used 2/3 sensors.

The processing is more targeted towards what other point and shoot users would expect, extreme noise reduction, high sharpness, etc.  As others have said you can improve the JPEG images by reducing noise reduction, but I always shoot RAW with any camera.
