I agree.

People often compare the RAW outputs of the K-5II and IIs without taking into account the greater amount of capture sharpening which should be applied to the K-5 II raw output. Capture sharpening should always be applied in proportion to the strength of the AA filter, just enough to avoid halos.

Exactly.  The sharpness and detail of the K-5II can be brought to the same level as the K-5IIs by simple deconvolution (capture) sharpening, essentially reversing the blurring effects of the AA filter without incurring the risks of moire.  Here is a link to a test that I ran two months ago demonstrating these facts.  For those who care to check for themselves, the IIs sample has numerous instances of moire.
