No it wont. As is MP count is very close between 6D and 7D. MP count is exactly the same between D600 and D3200, it means nothing and does not affect their positioning the slightest (in fact 1DX has the same MP could as 550D and D4 has 33% less MP than D3200, have you seen anyone worried?)

Low light response is directly related to sensor size, 6D's QE is about 50%, 7D2 at best will achieve 55%, its low light will continue to be 2.5 times worse than 6D.

Bit of a rock/hard place conundrum for the Canon marketeers. I bet the tech guys have loads of great stuff they cannot release because of the marketeers.

And let Panasonic and Sony and Nikon bring them out to the market first?

55% is just speculation.

Its called educated guess. Look at the progress of sensor QE over the past 5 years across board, 5% increase is pretty good. At Canon's current pacing 7D2 may not even get 5% improvement.

I agree that sensor size plays a big role but so does all the processing, gain on sensor etc.

No they do not. Process is what you do after the scene is captured, best processing is done on computer rather than in-body. In anyeven 6D and 7D2 will sport the same digic 5.

What is "Gain on sensor", are you talking about ISO amplification? that again is no different between modern cameras.

But that is not the whole story. A lot of consumers just look at the numbers quite wrongly. And when they do cameras such as the 6D will suffer sales wise.

MP count is exactly the same between D600 and D3200, it means nothing and does not affect their positioning the slightest (in fact 1DX has the same MP could as 550D and D4 has 33% less MP than D3200, have you seen anyone worried?)

We see lots of people on here already struggling to decide between the current 7D and the 6D.

Only because these people cannot make up their mind (better low light or better AF), not because product positioning is confusing.

It would be a shame if the sales of the 6D dropped to a point where Canon decide not to continue down its line.

Not going to happen because of 7D2.

Well you obviously want to make up figures, argue for the sake of it, deliberately miss the point reading your own meanings into things and not actually listen to other people's thoughts so i will drop out of this thread and leave you to it.
