thanks, because that is what good documentary work should do.

In the first one I love the way the upper right light source counterbalance the lower left dark portion and gives a great overall solidity to the composition, and the ambiance, WOW, the performer was very cooperative to allow you to be in such proximity.

That is a matter of building trust in the initial contacts.  Very soon, the persons don't pay attention anymore to you being there, because you have made clear you will work with respect.

In the second one that ray of light is pure genius and well seen, again such a well balanced composition.

This is what photography is all about, results.
