I have a Kenko Teleplus Pro 1.4x TC (bought mostly for use with the 180 f/2.8, though I've rather rarely used it with other lenses the Nikon TC14E won't accept). Now, with a 70-200 f/4, I am wondering if the Nikon is noticeably better (or even, significantly better) than the Kenko. Anyone have any experience with both converters?

Hi Michael,

IIRC the Kenko (which I have) is held together by self tapping screws and as such I would not think is very mechanically sound.

I have only used mine once or twice, on an 80-400 and on those days I did not get great results.
