THAT is the best point I've heard made. Most of the images I see posted "showing" how much better their new D7100 is than their "old" D7000 are pictures of a label on a box or a lampshade.

And that's the problem Stacey, we have career pixel peepers proclaiming the new cameras are the best thing since sliced bread while seasoned camera review sites are discovering there is no meaningful image quality improvement, and in particular, one of the headline features appears to be nothing but a clever marketing gimmick.

Such is life on forums like this, but for those in the market for the best possible kit on a modest budget, there are some other very compelling options that will not sacrifice one iota of image quality.
