IMO, the original image is the best shown, and quite good.

The "horizon" should actually be MORE tilted --it should echo

the angles/tilt of the near foreground lines, and give some

tension into the image by cheating the implicit upper-halved

wings of perfect equality.  And the lightening of the image

done above too diminishes the contrast between upper and

lower parts, and I think also the mood.

(I give a "+10" to one comment above about how amusing

-- hide signature --

or saddening-- it is to see some photos that just scream out

"Rule of Thirds Rules!" with their inappropriate application.)
