Sorry you took it the WRONG way, which you did. I was merely pointing out that you could enjoy fine imagery without spending a lot of money. I guess it is inevitable that those who have plenty of disposable income and can afford it may be offended. You are way off base, of course, because if it weren't for the people who buy the new stuff and can afford it, the low prices wouldn't be there for the rest of us. Too bad so many people take things so personally.

Wouldn't this have been a better way to make that point:

What a great time to be a m43 shooter! The introduction of new cameras is driving down the prices of some really great gear. Panasonic G3s and GX1s can be purchased new for very low prices. These are quite capable cameras that were 100s more not long ago. Other models, new or used, are also available for very good prices. While the older models may not have the best specs, they are still capable of producing terrific images. Oly and Panny are releasing new models at a wide variety of price points. There is truly something for everyone.

These prices are getting more people into the m43 space, and that can only be good for the success of the eco system. Unlike other formats, Olympus and Panasonic benefit from each others success through the sale of lenses, flashes, and other accessories that are compatible. The buyers benefit because there is a thriving used market on camera bodies, lenses, and flashes.

Buyers wishing to try out an interchangeable lens camera or experienced shooters looking for a 2nd or 3rd body can now do so at very good prices.
