Sigma 19mm worth it if have Sony 10-18mm?
Apr 19, 2013

I've seen lots of comments on here that the Sigma 19 and 30 are "no brainers" at their current price (£99 in the UK). That's certainly cheap for what they offer, but I was wondering if there was any point owning both the 19 and the Sony 10-18/4 if your main use in the 18-20 range is landscapes. The extra stop doesn't help if you're stopping down anyway for greater depth of field, how does the IQ compare between the Sony at 18mm and the Sigma 19? I will need to save up for the 10-18, which makes the Sigma tempting as I can get it now, but that delays further the day I can get the 10-18.

Alternatively, is there a wide angle converter that can be used with the Sigma 19mm to give you something around 13/14mm at reasonable quality?
