First the lens Sigma is offering here is a DSLR lens, it will not work unadapted on ANY mirrorless camera. It will not work (without adapter) on the Canon EOS-M mirrorless (APS-C) It will not work on the Fuji mirrorless cameras (both APS-c) It will not work on the Nex cameras (APS-c) But it will also not work on the  Pentax DSLRs (all APS-c) It will also not work on the 4/3 DSLRs or the m4/3 mirrorless. It will not work on one of the mirrorless cameras from Nikon (1") or Pentax either.

Then this is a very nice lens, but it will cost you an arm and a leg I think. I think in the future Sigma will come with very nice lenses for the mirrorless market, but it will be new designs like the 19 and 30 mm 2.8 lenses they have allready. The new lenses will only be available for the mirrorless cameras and not for the DSLRs.

For the other posters who predict the end of the A-mount: In one of the posts on SAR stated Sony that they go on with the A-mount....
