fuji maybe a step ahead, micro43 is way ahead, and nikon 1 is a step behind.  live with it.

Fuji makes really nice lenses for the X series but the idea that Fuji is a step ahead just shows you how far behind or maybe just unaware many people seem to be.

For NEX, you have the 20 f2.8, 24 f1.8, 35 f1.8, 50 f1.8, 10-18 f4 and all are really good lenses (may be too soon to judge the 20 f2.8).   Fuji has the 14 f2.8, 18 f2, 35 f1.4, 60 f2.4, and 18-55 f2.8-4 which are all very good (18 f2 and 60 f2.4 seem to get mixed reviews).

If you stop there then you can certainly make an argument for either lineup depending on your preferred focal length, need for UWA, etc.   But, if you continue, you can add the e mount 16, 16-50, 18-55, 18-200, 55-210 and then if your needs aren't met (or if you need PDAF) you can move to A mount 24 f2, 50 f1.4, 85 f2.8, 16-50 f2.8, 135 f1.8, 55-200, 70-200 f2.8, 70-300, 70-400 (and many more)......

If you still aren't satisfied and start looking at manual focus adapted options or 3rd party..  well, it just gets downright unfair at that point.
