That sounds a bit hasty. Two things to consider:

1. What makes the lighting "right" depends on many factors, including subjective preferences and the way an image will be used.

2. Lighting isn't done solely in the studio; it can also be done in post.

I'm not suggesting that it isn't important to learn how to use light when shooting. It's extremely important. My point is that lighting doesn't end with the shoot. It's part of post-processing. Here's just one example of a great many I could post to illustrate that fact:
