Hello,

do you have recommendations for a 27'' screen to be used to view and edit my photos taken with my d600 ?

.

You have a lot to choose from these days.  But a caveat, if you are using a PC system you will need to ensure that your video card has a port capable of driving the high bandwidth requirement of the following 2560x1440 screens.

A Displayport (mini or regular) or a Dual Link DVI port will do.

IF you are using an Apple system, there is the old Apple Cinema Display or new Thunderbolt Display.

But here is a list of mainstream monitors, all 2560x1440 resolution.

Dell U2713HM

.... standard sRGB gamut, about 98-99% coverage

.... new W-LED back light

.

Dell U2713H

.... wide gamut sRGB + AdobeRGB, about 100% coverage

.... new GB-LED back light

.... writable 14bit LUT

.

Eizo FlexScan SX2762W

.... probably the best monitor of the group

.... wide gamut sRGB + AdobeRGB, about 100% coverage

.... W-CCFL back light

.

HP ZR2740w v2

.... standard sRGB gamut, about 98-99% coverage

.... new W-LED back light

.... note - no OSD menu to make adjustments such as RGB sliders

.

NEC PA271w

.... wide gamut sRGB + AdobeRGB, about 100% coverage

.... W-CCFL back light

.... writable 14bit LUT

.

Samsung S27B970D

.... standard sRGB gamut, about 99% coverage

.... legacy W-LED back light

.... uses a S-PLS LCD panel made by Samsung

.

And then there are a number of low cost 27" 2560x1440 units coming from Korea.

Monoprice has a couple of models and there are many more.

The DGM IPS-2701WPH reviewed on the TFT Central web site is an example of one.
