The non-responsive lens/camera has happened twice for me. Last time, I thought maybe I had pushed up against the lens, making it freeze. So I turned the camera off and back on, and all was well.

Today, it happened twice in 178 photos. Neither the zoom ring around the shutter nor the zoom button on the lens worked, so it was power off and on again both times. Neither time did I even touch the lens barrel.

FYI, I have the camera set to never sleep, so that isn't an issue. This may be a lock-up that a firmware fix can address. But if you have an FZ200, keep an eye out for this happening.

Thanks Michael. It has not happened since but I will be using the camera more today and tomorrow and should take at least 200 shots per day providing a similar situation.

If it happens again I will report back.
