I completely understand that G'kids etc take precedence over this place ... By a bloody long chalk!

As I said before, flash is tricky. I guess that's why people write books about the subject ...

I have always used manual settings (and cameras and flashguns) prior to getting the FL-36R a couple of years ago. The flaming thing is smarter than the camera, if you ask me!

Guiding my brother through this has been somewhat trying (for him, just as it was for me) and has caused me to closely examine his technique, and therefore necessarily my own. All to the good. Hopefully both "teacher" and "student" learn something in the process!
