All trains in the post are DMU, DieselMultiUnit or DSU, DieselSingleUnit.  In Japan only main lines are electonized.  freight trains are running on main lines, not on these local line.  Do you like freight trains ?

I love freight trains, passenger trains, and commuter trains.  I will have to position myself where there are some.  Just about all of the trains we have around here are Diesel/electric.  The big Caterpiller diesel engines run electric generators that charge the batteries the electric motors use to put power to the wheels.  Dave

 At except Shinkansen, the bullet lines, Yes.  After 2 years ago I could not enjoy long trains, because Shinkansen took over them from conventional lines...
