iso1600 .7ev 1/50, actually I believe this was a Belgian style ale Golden Monkey, abv 9.0%. I usually don't like drinking and shooting.....

Was the 0.7 EV a guess or experience of the camera? How does one know to fine adjust to that level?

Switch on the histogram in your screen view to see what the exposure is like. But if you use centre metering you shouldn't have problem usually.
