I keep a film camera, APS to be precise in my car.  I use it to take pictures if I am involved in an accident.  A film shot with negative has a lot more credibility than a digital photo.

The APS format is specially good for this since it is very difficult to get at the negative.

I think old polaroid would also be good and I believe it is still used for this.
