In a way, they have already done that. My Pentax Q can use K mount lenses via the Pentax K to Q adapter. In fact, that's why I bought the Q so I could connect it to a DA 55-300 and shoot at nearly 1700 mm at F/5.8..

Yeah - I know. And I know you think its fun

So - lets not discuss the conversion of equivalent apertures when you change the sensor size. Too boring. Or?

So - you think that Sigma shall take out the old Polaroid sensor out of the closet and make a mirror less camera?

A sigma mirrorless with an SA mount would be great for me, as I can use all my existing lenses on it, but it would obviously have far less appeal to those who already have a large investment in say Canon EF or Nikon F mount lenses, which are the most commonly used mounts out there.

So it would make far better commercial sense to offer an EF mount version, perhaps called the DPxMc and a separate Nikon mount version, perhaps called the DPxMn...Sigma has never shown themselves to have much commercial sense, camera wise, so this would be a really radical departure for them.  You and I both know that it is a business strategy that is almost guaranteed to succeed and which would help propel them into the big time, but will they be willing to take the risk?...
