The DSLR is not just about autofocus, it's about a viewfinder that does best what a viewfinder is supposed to do - not to show me 'what the image will look like' as in exposure and white balance, but to show me in real time what the camera is seeing, without jerkiness, jitter, smearing, 'too bright at night, too dim in sun', or wasting the camera's battery to provide me with all of these 'features' that I do not want.

I don't care about 'smaller and lighter' as I do not want a smaller camera nor do I have any difficulty carrying an entry level-sized DSLR. I have no concern about getting rid of the DSLR's mirror either.

For me, mirrorless is the answer to a question I never asked.
