I downloaded a free trial of Helicon focus & then tried the same grouping of shots using Photoshop CS6 focus stacking. Photoshop did a better job of it. Helicon Focus left swirl patterns in the flowers colors that really weren't there. Photoshop left stacking artifacts that are easily removed. My test subject was a flower sort of like a lily, but I don't think it was. It was  13 shots with focus extremes from the tip of the stamin to deep into the flowers center. Tripod mounted Nikon D700 w/Nikon 105 Micro-Nikkor & cable release, mirror locked up.
