You should not see any noise at ISO 320 or even 800.

The D800 after resizing to the same resolution is very similar between 5DIII and D800 at ISO 3200. The 5D3 becomes better at higher ISO. But the 5d2 is not as good as the 5d3. Both 5d2 and 5d3 are nowhere as good as the D800 regarding noise in shadows at low iso.

Possible settings: more sharpening exacerbates noise. D-lighting can also make it more readily visible, you may have high ISO NR on on the 5d2 and set to off or low on D800, etc. and there is the possibility that your image is not exposed properly.

You should really post an example: it will help a lot diagnosing the problem you're experiencing. We can only make guesses without an image.

Thanks I will check those settings.

I will also upload a sample of the D800 and 5D MK2 so you can see what I'm seeing.

As for not posts, I am not an active member because many times people are so inflamed by comments that it doesn't do any good making comments.  my 2c.
