Peel off delaminating Trublack screen or leave it?
Apr 10, 2013

I have a NEX 5N with Trublack screen that is starting to delaminate. The outer edges are now shinier, while the middle is still "true black". Is it better to leave it as is (at least the main screen is still true black) or peel it off and replace with a screen protector?

I've peeled a delaminating screen off a NEX 3 and replaced with a screen protector before, which worked fine. However although it will make it look better, I'm wondering if it's better to leave it and keep at least some of the antireflective capability of the trublack.

Can anyone comment on reflection/glare differences using the stock trublack screen vs. an aftermarket screen protector?
