Using mirror lock up will help.

A sturdier tripod will help also.

Get a tripod and tripod head rated for substantially more weight than your camera and lens (I use an Induro AT-413 tripod).

Keep the center column down.

Hang weight off the hook on the bottom of the center column to help dampen vibrations in the tripod (you can use your camera bag, or a sand bag).
