Ok so there was sun this morning and I could play a little.

1. There doesn't seem to be any kind of vignetting when forcing the shutter at 1/4000 at f/2.

2. There is a slight over exposure at f/2 - 1/4000; it is barely, if ever, noticeable at f/2.8 - 1/2000.

3. The out of focus elements indeed have a weird blur - not the same nice bokeh usually featured at f/2. I'd need to do some other tests like focusing on the sides of the frame but the sun is now gone

So the conclusion would be that it is not at all impossible to shoot at f/2 and 1/4000 (and other forbidden shutter speeds) but that in some specific situations (harsh light source not in the center of the frame) you may have overexposure and weird bokeh.

I'll try to post pictures of the weird bokeh thing later on.
