Sigma 17-50 2.8 OS HSM...abnormal blur?
Apr 9, 2013

Hi All.  I just received my brand new Sigma 17-50 2.8 EX OS HSM from Amazon.  Been playing with it in the backyard taking photos of foliage.  I brought the photos into LR4.4 and noticed what appears to be an abnormal amount of blur.  Here's a photo of it at around 35mm f/8. It's quite noticeable on the right side of the photo.  In another set of photos at the same focal length from the previous day, the same blur is even worse at f2.8.  Is this normal?  Did I get a bad copy of the lens?

ISO 400, 36mm, f8, 1/40 sec

Shot with a D7100.

Thanks for your input!
