the FF camera captures slightly more detail than crop sensors... you can see this from a P&S and APS-C camera, the detail of the same shots are just completely different.

What it's really good for though is portrait and landscape.

Older wide angles are cheap, and you most likely will shoot at f/8 f/11 for landscape anyways, so it's not that much of a difference between the brand name and off brand lens. you can get an 18-35 or some sort of similar lens for around 100-200? the tamron 10-24 is gonna hit you at 350, so saving of 150, and slight bit better details and dynamic range on landscape.

For potrait, there's not much else to say, the FF gets you beter bokeh. same lens but better everything.

Also most FF camera has very good controls, so that's another factor to go FF if you're on a cheapo body, then it's great.
