Sony RAW and portable storage devices
Apr 8, 2013

I am going on a trip and thought a portable storage device would be a good idea so I could off load my pictures every night.  I've been doing my research and found them to be kind of scary -- the majority have bad reviews -- and the bad comments are all the stopped working and I couldn't get my pictures.

I finally decided on one:  Sanho

But I can't tell if this is what I really want.  In the technical specifications it looks like it will store all RAW, but if image recovery is needed I'm out of luck with Sony RAW?  Is that right?  Should this be a concern?  It'll primarily be for a couple weeks at a time, not months at a time.

Is there something else that would be better (other than a macbook, or more memory cards)?

I'm not opposed to just getting more memory cards, just looking at all my options right now.
