I have a paid account with smugmug. It allows you to adjust the photo sharpness - amount, radius, threshold, sigma, when the photo is uploaded. This compensates for sharpness loss when your photo is downsampled for display at smaller sizes.  You can also download photos from your gallery at original size, so smugmug acts like an online storage site.

I also have a paid account with flickr. But to me smugmug offers better IQ. My photos look better on smugmug.
