in a word, yes. do it every day and no, profoto made damn sure that the 'airs' are NOT compatible with pocket wizards...

i was a wee-bit confuesd yet today....

went to camera shop - profoto dealer - left still confused...

called profoto-usa for the lo-down

and was advised - the profoto non air and air d1's can be used together with  pocketwizards (they plug into the sync cable inputs)

the profoto non air and air d1's cannot be used together with the air remote... as the non air d1's do not have the air receivers built in and there are no addoin air plug ins....

makes sense...

correct, the radio frequencies of the pocket wizards and the profoto air do NOT compatible... you must run 1 system or the other... I went with pocket wizards so I could use my other profoto strobes as well
