Ok, I will take my turn here on this topic.

I tried Lightroom and it did not work for me. Yes, LR has some neat features that I really enjoyed but I just could not warm up to that program. Aperture on the other hand, felt much better to the way I work and think. One of the big differences between the two programs is that you have to import images into Aperture. No big deal but is an extra step.

Now, having said I like Aperture, I have to say I do most of my PP using Corel's AfterShot Pro.

Then, and only then, do I use Aperture to fine-tune an image missing in ASP. For me, ASP and Aperture do basically everything I need to do with my images.

I also played around with ACDsee Pro 2 for the Mac and while it does have some good points, all in all it is not in the same ballpark as Aperture & ASP. Just my humble opinion.
