Something to keep in mind is that proper skin tones actually have some  green in them. There is also some blue (from blood in veins), and yellow from fat under the skin. Generally as people grow older these other colors become more prominent as the skin becomes thinner and more translucent, and is more noticeable in light skinned people. Some people prefer the baby pink look in their subjects faces,  but that is not realistic for most older folks, IMO.
